Congressman David Jolly, a friend and client of The Victory Group, was recently featured on CBS’ 60 Minutes to discuss his new legislation entitled the Stop Act. The Stop Act seeks to prohibit Congressmen from soliciting funds from American citizens during their time in office. Currently, Congressmen are spending up to 30 hours a week in call centers contacting donors to ask for money. Jolly calls the practice “shameful” and is seeking support for the reform.
Jolly is currently running for the Senate seat being vacated by Marco Rubio.
Following the 60 Minutes interview, Jolly appeared on CBS This Morning and MSNBC to further discuss the Stop Act and answer questions.
