Ashley Intartaglia discussed the Affordable Care Act’s troubles in Hawaii, President Obama’s home state.
“I think it is definitely embarrassing,” said Intartaglia. “In Hawaii’s case, they didn’t need to be saved by the federal government. They have a small population, a relatively low number of uninsured people that live there, and they already have a healthcare system – the Hawaii Prepaid Healthcare Act – that’s been in place since 1974 that seems to be working just fine, so it’s no wonder they’re not getting the numbers of people to sign up.”
“Bottom line: if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.”
