Adam Goodman and fellow political strategist Joe Lestingi joined host Patti Ann Brown on FoxNews.com’s Strategy Room to discuss the most recent Republican Debate.
The debate, hosted by Fox Business News, was better received overall than the previous debate.
“I thought the debate was really well-done. The questions were appropriate. They were probing. It was informational,” said Goodman.
With strong questions and organization guiding the debate, candidates were given the chance to delve into policy and their vision for Presidential policy, and with so many candidates still in the field, each was vying for the spotlight.
“Macro and Ted Cruz are ascending, Jeb Bush is surviving. You have Trump and Carson defending, and of course you have on the end of the stage, John Kasich complaining,” said Goodman.
Goodman says the debate focused on the direction Republicans would take the country in the coming years.
“I think everyone pretty much across the board… they did decently last night,” said Goodman. “We’re moving right now from the introductory phase of the campaign to what I call the intramural scrimmage part of the campaign where candidates are going to compete.”
